Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

This course provides participants with the tools to identify and respect diversity, withhold judgement, and create common ground with colleagues. Recognizing bias and interpretation and understanding alternate perspectives are necessary skills if you want to achieve cultural competency as a team or organization.

Even though we aren't doing it intentionally, our cultural heritage often impacts our communication styles and preferences as well as how we interpret interactions with others. This course provides the tools and strategies to ensure every interaction is a successful one.

This course leverages and expands on material that was covered in Fundamental Intercultural Competency and Effective Intercultural Communication. Case Study analysis will help us to better understand the Six Cultural Orientation Areas as well as gender diversity and religious beliefs.
