F Licence Training & Testing
This six-week MTO-approved course prepares you to safely operate an "F" licence vehicle over 22 hours of in-class and practical (in-vehicle) training. Your driving skills will progressively develop through defensive driving and skid avoidance training as well as classroom study. The course covers the safe operation of an ambulance, pre-trip checks and incorporates three 4-hour driving lessons. The 'F' driver licence training program was developed to assist licenced drivers in obtaining the necessary knowledge to successfully complete our MTO approved "F" road test. Your test will be conducted at Fanshawe College in a Fanshawe vehicle and a Fanshawe Instructor with MTO Signing Authority. You must be atleast 18 years of age to apply for the F License Course.
Licensing & Eligibility Requirements:
- Being at least 18 years of age
- Holding the appropriate Ontario driver’s license (Class G or higher)
- Completing and submitting any required medical examination (Drive test center)
- Completing the required knowledge test (Drive test center)
- Obtaining the appropriate learner's permit
- Meeting any other applicable Ontario Ministry of Transportation requirements
These requirements must be completed before you can participate in the practical portion of your training, including in-vehicle instruction, road training, and licensing tests.
Please ensure that you have everything required before registering. If a required prerequisite has not been completed, you may not be able to proceed with the practical portion of your training as scheduled.
Licensing requirements are established by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation. Students are responsible for ensuring they meet the requirements for their applicable license class.
