D Driver Training & Test

A valid 'D' licence is required to operate any truck or vehicle combination that weighs in excess of 11,000 kilograms. This six-week program consists of 12.5 hours of theory and 20 hours of practical training. The 'D' driver's licence training program was developed to assist 'G' licenced drivers in obtaining the necessary knowledge to successfully complete our MTO (Ministry of Transportation) approved "D" road test. Your road test will be conducted at Fanshawe College in a Fanshawe vehicle with a Fanshawe Instructor with MTO Signing Authority. You must be 18 years of age or over to apply for the D License Course.
