August 18 - Skills Enhancement Motorcycle: Part One

Session:

  • August 18 Tuesday: 5:00PM-9:00PM

This course is designed for new riders, as well as riders looking for a refresher.

We start using College motorcycles with the option in the second half of the evening to use your own motorcycle. This will give you the chance to become comfortable with the layouts and then progress to the use of a larger motorcycle. You will work with two experienced instructors in a small class size of 5 maximum.

Objective: To familiarize the student with the differences of a larger bike and build confidence in preparation for on-road riding.

Topics covered:

  • Transition from slow to higher speeds
  • Navigating curves
  • Controlled stops from speed
  • Properly navigating a simulated right and left turn at a simulated controlled intersection
  • Eye lead and hazard identification
  • Slalom riding
  • Controlled slow speed
  • Roadside stops

This will prepare you to register for Part Two of Skills enhancement.

Part Two will be entirely on your own motorcycle on city streets.
