Technology for Seniors is about improving the lifestyle and wellbeing of seniors through delivery of on-line micro-courses that boost self-confidence and empower them to embrace technology without fear.

This is a four-module program designed to assist seniors in becoming more comfortable with using today’s technology. Within each module are four micro-courses intended to assist in a better understanding and safer on-line presence.

Programs will be delivered in an online setting and can be taken at home. There is no specific order for modules, and participants are not required to take all four. Seniors may simply pick and choose those courses that interest them.

The four modules include:

• Stay Secure – ensuring seniors stay safe and secure when going online. This will include safe sites, passwords, multifactor authentication, and downloading applications.
• Stay Current – many day-to-day processes have moved to on-line. We must be prepared for even more changes, and this course will assist with safe mobile banking, online shopping, returns and paying bills.
• Stay Connected – let’s get comfortable with online tools that help us stay in touch with family and friends. From email and texting to connecting online through video chat, we’ll have you ready.
• Stay Social – how to set up social media platforms safely and reliably, giving you the freedom to be social and safe, all at the same time.

Knowledge is key to staying secure, current, connected, and social online.
