Overview
In this course, participants will learn intermediate concepts and terminology necessary for working in the industry along with the skills to understand the practice of payroll, account reconciliation, and journal entries. This will help participants expand on previous knowledge and skills necessary to effectively navigate and successfully communicate in matters of finance and achieved through an expansion of financial theory, additional financial practices, with further opportunities to develop financial literacy.
Competencies
- Articulate intermediate terminology and theoretical concepts of financial accounting, while demonstrating practical application in how these are contextualized in the fiscal and legal relationship between the Government of Canada and varying First Nations People.
- Engage meaningfully with industry-standard data sets and a greater reading comprehension of financial statements, showing consideration for how these are contextualized in the fiscal and legal relationship between the Government of Canada and varying First Nations People.
- Define intermediate procedures of recordkeeping and more operational tasks and responsibilities, while being able to justify considerations for how both types impact the legal relationship between the Government of Canada and varying First Nations People.
