Course Overview

This self-paced, online course introduces participants to the core principles and practical skills required in electrical and electronic systems. Designed for individuals exploring opportunities in engineering, advanced manufacturing, clean technology, and electric vehicle sectors, the course covers circuit design and analysis, electronic component assembly and repair, electrical safety, industrial automation, and regulatory compliance.

Through 60 hours of engaging and interactive content, participants will build a foundational understanding of electrical theory and gain hands-on knowledge in areas such as circuit troubleshooting, component testing, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and safe installation practices. Flexible delivery allows learners to complete the course at their own pace, making it an ideal stepping stone for further training or entry into technical roles across multiple industries.


Competencies

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the function and operation of basic electrical and electronic components.
  • Apply circuit analysis techniques to both DC and AC systems.
  • Perform soldering, measurement, testing, and basic troubleshooting of circuit boards.
  • Identify electrical hazards and implement safety practices, including PPE usage and emergency response.
  • Understand and apply the principles of industrial automation, PLCs, and control systems.
  • Interpret and adhere to relevant electrical codes and wiring standards.
